Work With Students

  • Student Advocates are at the heart of every Juniper Arts Academy class and program. As mentors and role models, they build positive, trusting relationships with students while reinforcing social-emotional learning (SEL) through natural, everyday interactions. Whether encouraging creative expression, helping students navigate challenges, or celebrating their successes, Student Advocates provide the support and guidance that foster resilience, confidence, and connection. Their presence creates a safe space where students feel valued, empowered, and inspired to grow.


    • Must by 21+ to due to State of KS requirements for working with young people in foster care.

    • No music or art experience required.

    • Must pass all required screening processes.

  • Share your musical talents with youth in foster care and juvenile justice communities! Emerging Voices is a vocal & instrumental music ensemble of volunteers that hosts workshops, classes and seasonal performances for youth in foster care and the juvenile justice communities, and raises awareness of programs through community engagement performances.

Behind the Scenes

  • A lot goes in to making brighter futures for youth in the foster care and juvenile justice communities! Sign up for this team (no singing required!) to help make things happen – from event planning to envelope stuffing. Let us know your talents, and we’ll put you to work!
